WHAT IS THE CLUB NAME SHORT FOR?
NUSC-CC Elite is short for 'Northern Universities Student Club-Community Cricketers Elite' Cricket Club which is based in the North East of England.

WHAT IS THE AIM OF THE CLUB?
The club is completely unique in integrating Elite CLUB cricketers at academic institutions across the North with the local cricket community to challenge some of Europe's top sides while raising money for charity.

HOW DO I JOIN?
Playing memberships are extremely select but we always welcome requests from interested parties to nusc-ccelite@o2.co.uk. The County Durham Society for the Blind and Partially Sighted
The Mayor’s Appeal Charity 2008-2009

The County Durham Society for the Blind and Partially Sighted was established in 1987. It currently provides free services to over 2,300 blind and partially sighted people across County Durham. These services include an information service; community support (e.g. driver/escorts to eye clinics); outreach support to housebound people (e.g.to help fill in forms); free loan and delivery of specially adapted CD/radio cassette machines, Perkins braillers, and other specialist equipment; two talking newspapers covering North and South Durham; a macular disease support group which meets in Durham City; a Resource Centre in Durham City which provides demonstration and sale of specialist equipment; a befriending scheme; telephone support; and a computer mentoring scheme to introduce blind and partially sighted people to magnification and talking software.
